IMMIGRANT SERIES - What Holds You Down?

As an immigrant in America, I know how hard it can be to stay focused on my goals. Life in a new country can throw all sorts of distractions at you, from cultural differences to the daily grind of simply making ends meet. It’s easy to forget why you moved here in the first place and to get pulled away from your dreams. But that’s why it’s important to take a step back and remember what you came here for.

Whether it’s to build a better life for yourself and your family, make new connections, or pursue new opportunities, it’s important to stay focused and stay determined to achieve your goals. The little things that hold you down, like small daily frustrations, are just that: little. Don’t let them take over and derail your focus. Stay true to your goals and keep working on them, no matter what. The hard work and dedication will be worth it in the end. I’m living proof of that!

Even though I faced a lot of obstacles when I moved here, I stayed focused and worked hard toward my goals. Now, I’m proud to say that I’m living the life I dreamed of—and it was all possible because I didn’t let the small stuff get me down. So if you’re an immigrant in America and you’re feeling overwhelmed, remember why you’re here. Think of your goals and stay focused on them. Don’t let the small stuff slow you down and keep moving forward. You can make your dreams a reality if you stay determined and stay focused.

When shit hits the fan and you feel like nothing is working, always remember that!
