You all have no idea how long I have been waiting to write this blog post!
This is the kind of place that is only open during the summer, so I pretty much waited the entire winter to be able to tell you that, during this summer in New York City, you have to stop by the Oculus Beer Garden. If you are enjoying the day in the downtown area, then you just HAVE TO go there!
This is one of those perfect places to chill, have some snacks and day drink with your friends. I know that they have different locations in the city, but this is my favorite one because it is a fully open space, so it is perfect for summertime in New York City.
Beer is normal and food is normal (except for the pretzel, the pretzel is freaking delicious!!!), but what makes this place special is the vibe! It is such a colorful and sunny area, that the place and the energy just make you feel alive.
Don’t expect something fancy or great cocktails. As I said, it is a fully open space, so don’t expect that you will be ordering an espresso martini there, BUT that is the beauty of the place. It is a super simple and chill street bar with such a great vibe - what makes this place perfect for a simple and “comfortable” day drink with your friends during summertime.
